Concierge medical care is a model of healthcare delivery in which patients pay an annual or monthly fee to their primary care physician, in addition to any fees charged by insurance or testing. Insurance not always needed. This fee grants patients access to enhanced medical services and a more personalized level of care. We focus on providing more time for one-on-one consultations, preventative medicine, and early detection of medical issues, as well as enhanced access to the physician. This can include additional services such as same-day or next-day appointments, extended appointment times, 24/7 physician availability, and house calls. The most common form of concierge medicine is a private retainer-based practice or "concierge medical practice" usually where the doctor leaves the insurance-based model and charges a retainer fee to patients. The patients will still have to pay for any health service out of pocket, the retainer fee provides them the benefit of direct access to the doctor and more personalized care.
